Moved the thread to this thread to make things easier for organization.
So I was playing HRC and then I thought about Launch speeds.
Launch speeds are the things that define how far the sandbag will go with one hit. (the bat in this case)
Launch speeds are what forces the limit cap on HRC to be 114Kft because the max launch speed is 85000mph. (roughly)
lauch speeds change accoring to %s
to figure out a launch speed you start a brawl hit someone with any attack at any % then end the game. at the post-game lobby press A 3 times to see the stats of the game. scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see these 2 things called "max launch speed" and "max launcher speed" these equal how hard you were launched and how hard you launched someone. unfortunately it only tells you the max launch speed. so you have to launch someone with the attack you want as the only attack to be sure it was that attack.
so i was thinking about how sure i was that the homerun bat had an exponential function for its launch speed Vs % ratio. but i was not 100% sure it was exponential.
so i went into versus mode and preformed tests on another character using the homerun bat at various percents on mario.
here are the results:
Bat Swing Launch Speeds
% launched ------ Launch Speed (MPH)
0 --------------- 9425
10 -------------- 10224
20 -------------- 11008
30 -------------- 11730
40 -------------- 12546
50 -------------- 13285
60 -------------- 14066
70 -------------- 14785
80 -------------- 15573
90 -------------- 16325
100 ------------- 17082
110 ------------- 17821
120 ------------- 18609
130 ------------- 19417
140 ------------- 20144
150 ------------- 20879
160 ------------- 21653
170 ------------- 22443
180 ------------- 23189
190 ------------- 23973
200 ------------- 24755
210 ------------- 25524
220 ------------- 26253
230 ------------- 27042
240 ------------- 27780
250 ------------- 28539
if you notice, the differences between each launch speed is roughly 700-900mph difference making a linear function. this suprises me because i was almost positive it was exponential.
for those who dont understand all this exponential linear ****, i have a graph for you to relate to
the results in graph form (linear):
my prediction (exagerated) (exponential graph):
so you see, this means you can calculate the exact launch speed of the sandbag by the bat at any % with some basic math. if it were exponential that would require some more advaced math, but its still possible.
Now i am for certain that there are exponential functions in other attacks. i believe weegees FCFS and ikes39.5er are exponential. ill test weegee's but im too lazy to do 39.5er.
now you may be wondering, "why do i care?"
fine dont like my content, i dont like you either. *cries*
