Does anyone know why Board the Platforms wasn't put in SSBM or SSBB? because i kinda liked that mode, and i was a bit surprised to not see it in the sequels.

I really have no clue why it was not included in the recent smash games. Maybe Nintendo thought we needed something new for melee such as HRC which maybe could be its replacement and seeing how well it did they never really thought about bringing BtP back. Though lets not lose hope in this returning in the next smash game.

good question, especially considering how much fun btp would have been in a game like melee where there exist tons of advanced techs (ie wavedashing) that would have made it a very fun and interesting to watch mode from a competitive standpoint.

Yeah it would have been a real treat to see what Nintendo would have came up with in the layout of the BtP stages as well if they would have been added and, the advances techs would have made a real eye Popper for tyhe players and the Youtube watchers alike.

wow, so many possibilities... and here i was just thinking of BtP as the same thing but with more characters... but yeah, so many things they could have added to make it more awesome.

I am for sure they will add a new mode in the future, because thats what they did from 64-melee (HRC) and melee-Brawl (Boss Battles) so from Brawl-SSB4 there could be another new one. but BtP isnt new, it would just be revisiting BtP if they brought it back. so maybe we could get 2 new modes in SSB4 BtP and the unknown new one.

Ah.
Based on everything Sakurai said about SSBB pre-brawl, it sounded as if brawl was the ultimate and final project in the SSB series, and he put everything he could into it. I don't know what a fourth installment would offer, and as far as one player modes go, it seems like the brawl team was out of ideas: MMB is the same as MMM in melee, with BtT they tried something new but with the fans it didn't really go over too well, HRC they added a barrier (basically to make it easier for beginners); in the fourth game, if there is to be one, I can't imagine them being able to expand further on these ideas, and if there were a fourth game, I would imagine them scrapping all three of these modes for new things that may or may not live up to expectations.
But in all honesty I can't forsee a fourth game.

I don't think you can really construe MMB as new, we all know it is just a rehashed MMM.
